Oceanside, California is located in north San Diego county, Oceanside is ideally situated between Los Angeles and San Diego on the Pacific Ocean. It is approximately 83 miles from Los Angeles and 35 miles from San Diego.

Bordered by Camp Pendleton, Oceanside is buffered from the traffic of L.A. and Orange County to the north. Oceanside has San Diego county's widest and sandiest beaches, one of the West Coast's longest wooden recreational piers, a picturesque small craft harbor, and the "king" of California's historic Spanish missions, San Luis Rey. Oceanside Beaches are world famous for international surfing and skating competitions, Iron Man Triathlons, and speed boat and outrigger races. Inland Oceanside offers wonderful new housing communities while along the ocean, is a beach redevelopment area with plans for hotels, cineplex and more shopping.
